LBUSD Budget 2026–27

A neutral guide to projected district revenue, expenditures, property-tax funding, reserves and facilities spending.

The district’s official May 14 meeting recap reports approximately $94.6 million in total revenue and $96.5 million in expenditures in the proposed General Fund budget. Because the adopted budget can differ from the proposal, So Laguna links the district’s adopted-budget file as the final authority.

How to read the figures

Revenue and expenditure totals do not by themselves show whether ongoing operations are structurally balanced. Capital transfers, one-time costs, restricted funds and planned use of reserves must be separated from recurring operating activity. The district is community funded (often called basic aid), making local property-tax assumptions especially important.
